1966 Ford Bronco
The First Generation, First Year Bronco: A Rare American Icon.
Up for sale is Rebel's own 1966 Ford Bronco. This U15 model is a first year production Bronco, so it was extremely difficult finding the parts to maintain it's iconic classic look. This was a full frame off restoration; the body was separated from the frame, and both the body and frame were taken down to the metal and refinished. The frame and underbody of the truck was blasted and cleaned, then sprayed with Raptor Liner to preserve it. While the body was off the frame, we took the opportunity to give the truck a small 2” lift. Once the body was meticulously restored, we painted it Wimbledon White, a Ford factory color for this year. Around the exterior you'll notice the very rare and hard to find '66 parts including the front winged grill, the interior floor boards with rain channel and the rear hatch. Since it's a 1966, we installed a 170ci straight six cylinder crate engine, true to the vehicle's original condition. We coupled the engine to a factory column shift three speed - three on the tree! The entire interior is period correct . The seats are original 1966 seat frames with all new foam and vinyl upholstery. The dash features all new switches, knobs and accessories, including the controls for the Vintage Air air conditioning. The original wiper was converted to dual electric motors for modern reliability. A newly installed American Autowire chassis harness upgrades the electrical throughout. All new lights, trim, and chrome bumpers were also installed. The windshield is brand new with the rest of the existing glass polished and installed with all new seals. This is a BEAUTIFUL and RARE example of a first year, first generation classic Bronco.
